GBNZ's Awesome Leadership is a dynamic training programme equipping young leaders with skills and qualities for life-long leadership.

 

Three modules across three levels are presented in camps and training sessions with follow-up practical activities back in girls' home Companies or Units.

 

With a minimum of three years to complete the full programme, there is no time-limit and girls work at their own pace.

 

Level 1 - WHAT IS A LEADER?

Entry requirement: Y10 at school and recommendation of company captain.

 

What is covered?: 

Team building, communication, living a balanced life, leadership, positive relationships and how the organisation works. Blue chevron awarded on finishing the course.

 

Level 2 - AM I A LEADER?

Entry Requirement: company / unit service record available to download here

 

What is covered?: 

Team building, large group communication, leadership skills, health and safety and preparing for the next assignment. Green chevron awarded on finishing the course.

 

Level 3 

Entry Requirement: Run and write up a one night programme (link to assignment)

 

What is covered?: Parent communication, group management, leadership, health and safety, relationships and programme planning.

Red chevron awarded on finishing the course. 

 

Final assignment:

Plan and run a programme 2 x 3 weeks or 1 x 6 weeks within the next 12 months. (link to the assignment is here)

Gold chevron awarded on completion.
